| Basically, the climate here in the
Prescott,Prescott Valley and Chino Valley area is moderate with
four beautiful seasons and temperatures that never get to the
extremes. You can expect some snow in the late fall and winter that dusts the area and makes you have a true feeling of the coming holidays. The amount of snow varies a little, but hardly ever more than a couple of inches ( except for the higher mountains locations that surround the area on the south & southwest sides). Just about perfect snow for adding that touch of winter beauty that is so appropriate for the season. Coming of Spring, brings the leaves back to the trees, the beautiful green shades back to the small grasses and low shrubbery and awakens your senses with color and fresh scents that signal the eventual coming of Summer. Summer in the communities of Williamson Valley, Hassayampa, Yavapai Hills, Forest Trails and Prescott Lakes offer the opportunity for outdoor recreation without the temperature and humidity extremes that other areas may have. Golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking are just some of the things that abound here. Prescott, Prescott Valley and Chino Valley enjoy what is probably the most perfect climate that is available in Arizona. Away from the extreme heat of the Phoenix area, and not as cold as the more northern areas that surround Flagstaff and the Mogollon Rim areas. What can I say......You gotta love this place ! |
